NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's soccer opens conference play for the final time in the Colonial Athletic Association on Thursday when they take on James Madison at 5 p.m. at the ODU Soccer Stadium.
ODU comes into the match with a 2-5 mark while JMU is 2-6.
The Lady Monarchs are coming off a 2-0 defeat to Richmond but before that beat VMI 6-1.
Amber Cook scored three times in the win over VMI and leads ODU with three goals. Taylor Mertz and Nikki Clarke have a goal and two assists apiece and are tied for second on the team with four points.
Brianna Alvarado leads the team with 35 saves and is second in the CAA with 5.83 saves per game.
JMU has lost five-straight games after starting out the year 2-1. The only common opponent between the two clubs is Richmond. ODU lost to Richmond 2-0 while JMU lost to the Spiders, 1-0.
Lauren Wilson leads the Dukes with two goals and two assists for six points while Kelly Germain is second on the team with five points on a goal and three assists.
Kate Courter and Ellen Forrest have split time in goal, while Courter posts 0.79 goals against average and 18 saves while Forrest has a 3.00 GAA with 13 saves.
ODU finishes off its five game home stand on Sunday when they host VCU at 1 p.m.
