NORFOLK, Va. -- It was reporting day for the members of the 2012 Football Monarchs. Sunday was filled with team filling out paperwork, under going physicals, meeting with coaching and administrative staff, a welcome by Athletic Director Wood Selig, and gearing up for the first practice of the 2012 season on Monday.
2012 THEME:
The theme for the 2012 season is "One Team, One Year, One Shot". While the Football Monarchs will not be eligible for the CAA Championship in 2012, the team will have a shot at one of 10 at-large bids to the FCS playoffs which culminates in the FCS National Championship game in Frisco, Texas on January 5th, 2013.
PRESEASON SLATE:
Here's what the Football Monarchs are up to the next three weeks. Preseason Camp will include 23 practices leading up to the September 1st season opener with Duquesne at 6 p.m.
