Binghamton Slips Past Men's Tennis, 4-3

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University men's tennis won the doubles point but could not put away Binghamton, as the Bearcats won 4-3 over the Monarchs on Wednesday.

ODU put together a solid performance in doubles action, winning the doubles point with a win at number one by Tobias Fanselow and Krzysztof Muzalewski and a win at three doubles by Albert Ochagavia and Fahoum Fahoum.

The two teams played tight singles matches all the way through, with four matches going to all three sets, with each team winning two of those.

Muzalewski defeated Gilbert Wong 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 at three singles and Clay Cypert knocked off Rafael Rodriguez 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 at number six.

The Monarchs are back in action on Friday when they take on Cornell at 2 p.m.
