CHARLESTON, SC-- Old Dominion erupted for seven runs in the seventh inning to defeat Wright State10-3. Chris Baker's 34-game hitting streak came to an end as he went 0-4 today.
Shawn Sizemore and Ty Yesensky had two hits and three runs batted in. Nathan Hartmanand Josh Tutwiler both had two hits and one run knocked in for the Monarchs.
Ben Tomchick pitched five-plus innings, strinking out four allowing four hits and walking two. Ben Verlander pitched 1.2 innings of shutout ball in relief and JoeHaumacher pitched the final two innings.
ODU pounded out 12 hits on the day, while Wright State had five hits.ODU plays The Citadel at 3 p.m.
