NORFOLK, VA-- The ODU Baseball Monarchs (2-2)travel to Richmond for a 2:30 p.m. contest todayat Pitt Field.
ODU is led in hitting by Brent Frazier with a .533 average. He has six runs scored,one homer and three RBI. Junior first baseman Chris Baker is a .500 with a team best nine RBI and two homeruns. Baker is currently tied with Ronnie Freeman of Kennesaw State for the national lead with a hitting streak of 32 straight games.Freeman's team plays UAB today.
On the mound Kyle Hald has a 0.00 ERA with eight strikeouts in seven innings ofwork, while reliever Mike Ney and starter Ben Tomchick are 1-0. Tomchick has a 1.29ERA.
The Spiders are 1-2 after their three-game series at Duke. Jacob Mayers leds the Spiders in hitting with a .538 average, followed by Bryan Conway at .500 and Mike Mergenthaler at .429.
