Men's Tennis Falls Short to UMBC, 4-3

Highlights from this weekend's matches

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University men's tennis saw its eight-match winning streak come to an end on Saturday, falling to UMBC 4-3.

The Monarchs won the doubles point as all three doubles teams were victorious. Tobias Fanselow continued his winning ways at the number one slot, winning 6-2, 6-4. Krzysztof Muzalewski also picked up a win in singles, winning 6-4, 6-4.

The final two matches of the day, were both three-set thrillers. Gaulthier Berret beat Fahoum Fahoum 7-6, 5-7, 6-4 at number five while Mwali Phiri came back from a 4-1 deficit in the third set to win 4-6, 6-4, 7-6.

ODU is back in action on Friday as they take on Liberty at 2 p.m.
