MADISON, Wis. - Light wind plagued the final day of the 2010 ICSA/Gill National Championship as no racing took place on Lake Mendota Thursday. Old Dominion's Coed Team ended the regatta in 14th place after totaling 214 points.
Boston College, who led after day one and two, won its first national title in sailing after finishing with a five-point advantage over second-place Harvard.
Four Monarch sailors combined for an 11th place finish in the B Division. Alan Alkins, Katrina Williams, Wilson Stout and Dillon Paiva contributed to five Top 10 finishes in just nine races. Alkins and Williams each skippered ODU to separate second-place finishes with Stout at crew in each race.
Junior skipper Stephanie Roble raced 10 A Division races with Michael Komar, Emily Reich and Miles Martschink all splitting time at crew. The A Division sailors ended the week in 16th.
