Here is a minor league update on Dan Hudson ('08), Gerard Hall ('09), Dexter Carter ('08), and Anthony Shawler ('08) through June 2nd.
Dan Hudson is currently 6-2 for the Charlotte Knights with a 4.56 earned run average. He has 62 strikeouts in 53.1 innings. Opponents are hitting .258against him. He fanned 10 in seven innings aganst Toledo, 11 in eight inningsagainst Columbus and nine in 5.2 against the Tides.
The two-time All-CAA performer made his Major League debut withthe Chicago White Sox on Sept. 4th of 2009. He was 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA in Chicago.
Anthony Shawler is 2-0 with a 2.10 ERA. He was 1-0 with a 0.96 ERA for Lakeland inthe Florida State League. Shawler is now 1-0 with a 3.45 ERA for the Erie SeaWolves in the AA Eastern League. The 2007 All-American also had two saves for Lakeland.
Shortstop Gerard Hall is hitting .238 for Burlington in A Midwest League. Hall has one homer with 12 doubles, 24 walks and is 12 of 16 in stolen bases. The 2009 All-CAA selection knocked in two runs twice in a a game against Quad Cities.
Dexter Carter is currently 1-4 with a 6.51 ERA for A Fort Wayne TinCaps in the Midwest League. He fanned seven in six innings against South Bend and five against Dayton and Lake County. Opponents are hitting .237 against him.
