WILLIAMSBURG, VA.-- Jonathan Slattery's sacrifice fly plated Ryan Brown in the bottom of the ninth with one out to give William & Mary (21-14/6-6) a 7-6Colonial Athletic Association win over Old Dominion (16-24/4-8)Sunday afternoon.

Senior Austin Wright doubled home Kenny Stoneback to give ODU a 6-5 lead in the top of the eighth inning, but W&M tied the game in the eighth when Chris Jensen scored on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Williams after ODU's Kenny Stoneback made an over the shoulder catch in straight a-way centerfield for the out.

Chris Buss, Kenny Stoneback and Austin Wright led ODU with two hits each, while sophomore Chris Baker knocked in three runs with a homer.Tadd Bower led the Tribe with two hits, both homers and three RBI. Sstephen Arcure also had three hits on the day.

Tribe took the early lead when Jonathan Slattery scored from third on a wild pitch. In the ODU third Chris Baker slammed a three-run homerwith Austin Wright and Jake McAloose aboard, his second homer of the series. ODU scored again in the fourth on a Donnie Corsner RBI groundout which platedKenny Stoneback. Jake McAloose followed with a double to bring home Austin Wright to give ODU a 5-2 lead.

Tad Bower hit a solo homer for the Tribe in the bottom of the third. W&M added another run in thefourth on a Chris Forsten double. Bower then hit another homer in the fifth with Derrick Osteen aboard to tie the game at 5-5.

Logan Billbrough picked up the win in relief for William and Mary. He fanned six, walked four and allowed just one run in 5.1 innings of work. Austin Wright took the lossIn relief. Both runs off of him were unearned.

The Monarchs host Maryland Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
