SAINT MARY'S CITY, Md. - The Old Dominion sailing team placed in the top-five in 12 races between the A-Division and B-Divisions to claim fourth at the St. Mary's Women's Intersectional this past weekend. The Lady Monarchs posted 164 points and bested three teams ranked in the top-five nationally.

ODU trailed only No. 1 Charleston, No. 3 St. Mary's and No. 9 Gerogetwon, while topping a highly talented field that included No. 2 Boston College, No. 4 Brown and No. 5 Yale.

Stephanie Roble and Emily Reich led the Lady Monarchs in the A-Division as they finished in third with 75 points. The duo of Katrina Williams and Shannon Wilkins sailed in the B-Division and placed fifth with 89 points.

Old Dominion also competed at the Truxtun Umsted Regatta held in Annapolis, Md, finishing 15th with 892 points. Brown won the event with 497 points in the four-division regatta.

The Monarchs, ranked No. 16 nationally, had nine top-five finishes, including four in the D-Division where John Shockey led ODU to a sixth-place finish.

Old Dominion will be in action next on Sunday, March 28 at the Aaron Szambecki Team Race at ODU and the Arrigan Memorial at Georgetown.
