NORFOLK, Va. -- Catch up with ODU football head coach Bobby Wilder on the Tony Mercurio Show Tuesday afternoon from 3-4 p.m. on ESPN Radio 94.1 FM.
Coach Wilder and host Tony Mercurio will talk about the Monarchs' upcoming spring practice set to start on Friday, March 26th and the challenging schedule awaiting Old Dominion this fall.
Seven student-athletes have joined the squad this spring - defensive tackles Dominik Davenport (Hampton, Va./Phoebus/West Virginia) and Ronnie Cameron (Westbury, N.Y./Holy Trinity/Hofstra), defensive end Deron Mayo (Hampton, Va./Kecoughtan/Hofstra), quarterback Dominique Blackman (Los Angeles, Calif./Carson/Los Angeles Harbor College), tailback Angus Harper (Alexandria, Va./Edison), linebacker Ken McAdow (Ashburn, Va./Broad Run/Northeastern), and kicker Jared Brown (Yorktown, Va./Grafton) with another 19 set to join the team this fall.
On the slate for Old Dominion this fall include a return with Jacksonville (Sept. 4) for their 2010 opener, future Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival William & Mary (Sept. 18), Gardner-Webb (Oct. 2) on Parent's Weekend, start-up and future conference rival Georgia State (Oct. 23) on Homecoming, as well as return dates with Savannah State (Nov. 6) and VMI (Nov. 13) in the regular season home finale.
The Monarchs will have four road games next season traveling to Campbell (Sept. 11), Monmouth (Sept. 25), Hampton Roads rival Hampton (Oct. 30), and Presbyterian (Nov. 20).
