NEWARK, DE- The University of Delaware's Rich O'Donald (15-8/4-2) pitched a complete game three-hitter to beat the Monarchs of Old Dominion (7-15/2-4), 3-2 Sunday afternoon.

ODU freshman pitcher Ben Tomchick pitched eight innings, walking only one withsix strikeouts.

Delaware took the lead in the third on back-to-back doubles by Carlos Alonso and Ryan Cuneo followed by a two out single by Ryan Reed. Kyle Davis then hit a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh for a 3-1 lead.

ODU got on the board in the seventh when junior thirdbaseman Jake McAloose (Virginia Beach, va.) slammed his third home run of the year to right center.

In the ninth McAloose reached on an error, and Donnie Corsner (Virginia Beach, VA.) followed with a single. Pinch Hitter Cameron Scott then sacrificed both runners to second and third. After an intentional walkedTo Chris Buss to load the bases, Joe Velleggia sacrifice fly plated McAloose to make it 3-2. AustinWright then flyed out to deep left to end the game.
