ODU Football Set To Close Out Season With Homecoming Scrimmage

Norfolk, Va. – The Old Dominion University football team will wrap up its fall campaign this Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1:30 p.m. with the Monarchs final scrimmage, capping off a week full of homecoming activities at ODU. The scrimmage will be held at the Powhatan High School Complex on the corner of 43rd and Powhatan Avenue in Norfolk and admission is free.

With a lack of depth at several positions due to injuries, the format for Saturday’s scrimmage will be slightly altered. Following a possession by both the blue and white teams, there will be two series of pass skeleton drills featuring the backs and receivers against the linebackers and the defensive secondary. The offensive and defensive lines will return for two more series, followed by another pass skeleton drill. That format will continue for the remainder of the scrimmage

The homecoming parade will finish at the Powhatan Complex just as the scrimmage is set to begin. The ODU marching band will perform at halftime and the homecoming king and queen will also be recognized.
