REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:Saturday. The competitors meeting commenced with a moment of silenceto remember PJ Wenner from the University of Hawaii. Racing started at 10AMonthe Potomac River with South winds around 12mph with gusts over 20.Conditions were ideal and four A races and 3 B races were run by 1:30PM.Hearing reports of a squall line approaching the race committee sent Bdivision in and waited for the squall to pass. After the squall linecame through the wind died and racing was called for the day. One protestwas filed which was disallowed. Thanks to Andrew Campbell and JackieSchmitzfor hearing the protest. Tomorrow's forecast calls for a very strong westwindwhich means small courses and shifty winds in the Washington Sailing Marinalagoon.
