Final Stats

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The #10 Lady Monarch sailors raced to a ninth place finish on the first day of the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship today, and will continue racing tomorrow. With four completed races in A division and three in B division, ODU finished 10th in each and totaled 69 points to put them in ninth place. The team is just 40 points back of the lead and 22 behind a top five effort.

In B division, sophomore Morgan Wilson and freshman Arianna Baker finished with a 2nd and a 6th place finish, but also had a disqualification for being on the course side of the starting line. Their 27 points, as a result, put them in 10th place in the division, 15 back of the lead.

In A division, sophomores Stephanie Roble and Kaitlyn Paulsen also finished 10th in division. The tandem posted 42 points for the Lady Monarchs with a fifth place finish in the third race. The top A division team, Yale, is 26 points ahead of ODU.

Old Dominion will head to the water again tomorrow for a chance to make a move up the standings at the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship.
