CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Old Dominion sailed to 13th place at the College of Charleston Coed Intersectional this weekend in their first event of the Spring 2008 season. Sophomore Kyle Rogachenko skippered the A division boat with freshman Kaitlyn Paulsen at crew to 11th place with seven top ten finishes.

Rogachenko and Paulsen were just three points behind Bowdoin and the Top Ten in A division. Still, the pair of Monarchs managed one finish in the top five boats and seven of 10 finishes among the top ten boats.

In B division, senior Michael Collins and freshman Ashley Pellerito sailed to a 13th place effort in B division with 119 total points. Collins and Pellerito also had one finish in the top five, and added a pair of other top ten finishes. However, the Monarchs finished nine points behind UC Irvine for 12th and 24 points out of the top ten in B division.

ODU will return to the water next weekend at the Tom Noble Team Race in Chestertown, Md.
