NORFOLK, VA-- The Baseball Monarchs (19-12/7-2)travel to Boston, MA. to take on the Huskies ofNortheastern (8-6/4-4) in a three-game CAA series. The first game is Friday at 2 p.m.at the Friedman Diamond.
The Monarchs will throw Dan Hudson (4-2/3.10) on Friday; Anthony Shawler(6-0/2.92) on Saturday and CAA Pitcher of the Week Ryan Bergh(3-4/3.94)on Sunday. Northeastern will counter with Kris Dabrowiecki ((3-0/1.42)on Friday; Jeff Thomson (2-1/4.79) on Saturday and Sheldon McDonald(0-2/9.00) on Sunday.
Dabrowiecki leads the CAA in earned run average, while Shawler is fifth,and Hudson is sixth.
Mike Zahm leads ODU in hitting at .421 which ranks him third in the CAA.Freshman Jake McAloose is at .368, followed by Cameron Scott at .344and Anthony Shawler at .333. Designated hitter David Burns leads the Monarchs with six homers followed by Shawler with four.
Chris Keenan leads the CAA in runs scored with 39 (1.30), Mike Zahm leads the CAA in doubles (17), followed by Tyler Belcher (16). David Burnsand Mike Zahm are one-two in the CAA in RBI.
