NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion junior midfielder Dana Sensenig (Denver, Pa.) earned her second Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week honor after guiding the Lady Monarchs to a 2-0 weekend with two goals and an assist and helping clinch the 2005 CAA regular season title.
Against Northeastern last Friday, the junior midfielder helped Old Dominion overcome a 1-0 deficit late in the second half and hand the Huskies their first CAA loss of the season. After the Lady Monarchs tied the game at the 53rd minute of action, Sensenig tied the game with the first of her two goals two minutes later. It was her team-leading fourth game-winner of the season. Four minutes later, she added in an insurance goal for her 14th goal of the year.
On Sunday, she was a member of the penalty corner unit, which collected the lone goal in ODU's 1-0 victory over Hofsta, which clinched the 2005 regular season title.
To date, Sensenig has 14 goals, 13 assists, and tops the conference in total points with 41.
