HARRISONBURG, VA-- Freshmen Katie Claxton(Va. Beach, VA.) and Anna Rogers(New Bloomfield, PA.) each scored two goals to lead seventh ranked Old Dominion to a 5-0Colonial Athletic Association victory over James Madison Saturday afternoon. ODU improvesto 5-4, while the Dukes drop to 2-8. Angie Loy (Loysville, PA.) assisted on three of the goals.
Claxton scored both of her goals in the first half to give the Lady Monarchs a 2-0lead at the break. In the second half Rogers scored on an assist from Angie Loy (Loysville, Pa.)to start the second half. Two minutes later freshman Dana Sensenig(Denver, PA.) put theLady Monarchs up 4-0. Rogers finished the scoring at the 53:57 mark with an assist fromLoy.
ODU edged JMU in shots , 12-11, while goalkeeper Tina Walker (Suffolk, VA.) Cameup with six saves and the shutout. The Lady Monarchs return to action on Sunday when theytravel to 12th ranked Virginia for a 1 p.m. contest.
