Monarchs in third overall (College Golf)MIDLOTHIAN, VA. - Senior Geoffrey Harris (Reading, England) shot career best andtied a tournament mark for the lowest round with a 66 today to lead the Colonial Athletic Association Golf Championships after 36 holes. Harris' two day total is 136. He leads Ted Brown of VCU by one stroke as they are the only players under par. As a team, ODU moved up to third, just five strokes behind team leader UNC Wilmington.
Harris had seven birdies and one bogie on the day. "My wedge play was unbelievable,"said Harris. "Every put I had was about 12 feet closer." The Monarchs 36-hole score is 587, trialing yesterday's leader Towson (584) and today's leader UNCW (582). The final round will be played Tuesday.
