RICHMOND, VA. - Old Dominion University senior forward Ricardo Marsh(Mebane, NC.) was named first team All-CAA as selected by the leagues coaches andmedia. Senior Rasheed Wright (Greensboro, NC.) was named to the All-Defensive squad andfreshman Alex Loughton (Perth, Australia) was selected to the All-Rookie team.
Marsh averaged 16.9 points and 8.5 rebounds per game this season. He currentlyranks in the top ten of the CAA in scoring, field goal, and percentage rebounding. The6-8 senior who earned NABC All-District 4 honors last week has 1,340 career points and684 career rebounds. He currently ranks 20th on ODU's all-time scoring list. Marsh had fivedouble-doubles this year and scored in double figures 23 of 26 times, including 17 straight.He went over the 1,000 career point mark against Dayton. Marsh scored a career high30 points against Delaware and went over 20 points nine times this season.
Wright averaged 14.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. The 6-5 forward ranksninth in the CAA in scoring, seventh in free throw percentage (.788), and fourth in steals (1.9).Wright has1169 career points which rank him 28th on ODU's all-time scoring list. Wrightscored in double figures 23 of 26 games this year. Wright joined the 1,000 career point markon the road at Hofstra.
Alex Loughton who was named CAA Rookie of the Week twice during the seasonearned All-Rookie honors. He is third on the team in scoring at 8.3 points per game and secondon the team in rebounding at 6.0. He ranks 11th in the CAA in rebounding. He scoreda career high 14 points four times this year (against St. Joseph's, ECU, Maryland Eastern Shore,an Delaware). He scored ten or more eight times.
