FLORENCE, SC - The Old Dominion University Monarch golf squad leads theCarolina First Intercollegiate after 36 holes by three strokes over Southern Mississippiand host Francis Marion. Junior Christopher Kline (Hampton, VA.) is three strokes ofthe lead after shooting a 71 and a 68 on the day.

Three other Monarch golfers are within 11 strokes of the lead. Chris Piercy(Reading, England) shot even par for 144, while Leighton Harris (Durban, South Africa)shot a 146 and All-CAA golfer Geoffrey Harris (Reading, England )is at 147.

South Alabama's Ryan Gildersleeve tied a course record with a 64 on the first18 holes and leads the tournament with a 136. The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday.
