Rina Fokuda is a senior majoring in international relations with a minor in political science at Old Dominion University. After graduating, she plans to work at the Embassy or for a Japanese company. Rina loves cooking/baking, travelling, playing the saxophone and playing tennis, especially with her older sister.

Rina started playing recreational tennis at the age of five, but started playing competitively at the age of 13. She played high school tennis at Kempsville, club tennis at Virginia Tech and now is on the club team at ODU. Rina was a volunteer coach for the Kempsville boy’s tennis team. Her entire family is avid tennis players and her mother and father taught her tennis when she first started playing. Her mother is currently coaching the boys tennis team at Kempsville High School.

Fokuda wanted to be a manager for the ODU girls' varsity team because she wants to be more involved at ODU and with tennis in any way possible. Also, she wants to give back to the sport of tennis, as it has given her countless numbers of experiences and memories.
