Ken Brown joined the Old Dominion staff in 2011 as the Senior Athletic Director for Internal Operations. Brown moved into his current role in 2021.
Brown oversees sports medicine and the tennis center and is the day-to-day contact for all sports administration. He will continue to oversee all business functions of the department. He is responsible for all business functions of the athletic department.
Prior to joining ODU, Ken was the Athletic Director at Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., and spent 16 seasons as a Senior Associate Athletic Director at Ball State. He also served as the Director of Ticket Operations at the University of North Carolina for seven years.
Ken graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Eastern Kentucky University. He holds a master’s degree in educational administration from Xavier University and a master’s degree in sport administration from Ohio University.
Brown and his wife, Mary Sue have seven children, Adam, Andy, Jake, Erin, Meghan, Kate and Sarah.
