De'Jovia Davis joined The ODU Women’s Basketball in May 2025 as the Director of Basketball Operations, bringing with her a proven track record of excellence in team logistics, creative content, and program-building at the collegiate level.
Before joining The ODU program, De'Jovia served as the Director of Basketball Operations and Creative Content at Kent State University, where she played a vital role in shaping the program’s identity on and off the court. She led all aspects of team operations—from travel and scheduling to organizing international tours and championship runs and was instrumental in elevating Kent State’s social media presence through her photography and videography expertise. Her creative vision helped grow fan engagement and brand recognition significantly.
During her tenure, De'Jovia was part of a historic period for the program, contributing to Kent State’s 2023 MAC championship run and helped foster a culture where no players entered the transfer portal for two consecutive seasons - a rare feat in today’s college basketball landscape.
Prior to her full-time role, she served as a graduate assistant for the Golden Flashes, where she worked closely with the Director of Operations to manage day-to-day logistics while also revamping the program’s digital footprint. Her leadership and eye for detail made her an indispensable part of the staff so much so that she was promoted to a full time position just after one year.
De'Jovia’s basketball journey began at the University of Pittsburgh, where she was a four-year student manager for the women’s basketball team, serving as head manager for her final two years. Her behind-the-scenes commitment and leadership laid the foundation for her career in operations and sports media.
A scholar as well as a leader, De'Jovia graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies.
