2012-13: Named 2012-13 CAA Swimmer of the Year... Participated in the NCAA Tournament in the 50 and 100 Free... Was named `The Most Outstanding Swimmer' of the 2013 CAA Championships after winning five medals, setting four school records, and posting two NCAA B-cut times... Won CAA gold in the 50 and 200 free races... Named CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week on January 29... Set a new school record for ODU in the 50 free (19.60)... Set an all-time CAA record and new ODU record at the Nike Cup in the 100 free (43.43)... Also at the Nike Cup, set a new ODU record in the 200 free (1:37.55)... Recorded the fastest time in ODU history in the 200 (1:20.91), 400 free relay (2:57.55) and in the 800 free relay (6:34.80). Also held the fastest times in school history in the 200 and 400 medley relays.
2011-2012: Earned a pair of All-CAA honors as the champion in the 50 freestyle and with a second place finish in the 100 freestyle... In the 50 free, captured a new ODU benchmark and NCAA "B" cut time of 19.71 becoming the second ever Monarch to come in under the 20-second mark in the event... Tied the school record of 44.31 in the 100 freestyle... Member of the fourth place 200 freestyle team that was narrowly edged out by third place William & Mary by a mere .02 seconds with an NCAA "B" cut time of 1:20.91 and a new ODU record. Swam for his native Albania in the 2012 Olympic games in London.
2010-2011: Named the Colonial Athletic Associationco-Rookie of the Year... Earned All-CAA as the CAA champion in the 50 meter freestyle with a time of 20.01 and as the conference champion in the 100 freestyle with a time of 44.56... Earned All-CAA honors with 200 and 400 freestyle relay squads... Helped the 200 medley relay team to a third place finish in a time of 1:30.01, the second fasted ODU record in the logs... As a member of the 400 free relay team helped ODU place second at the CAA Championships in a time 1:21.27, capturing not only a NCAA "B" cut time, but the second fastest time in the ODU record books, a mere .06 seconds off the all-time record... Also placed eighth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:40.96... Swam for his native Albania during the summer at the 2011 World Championships held in Shanghai, China.
PREP: Represented his native Albania at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in the 50 free.
PERSONAL: Born February 6, 1992... Son of Shpetim and Albene Hoxha... Has one sister, Delfine... Grandfather member of the Albanian national soccer team... Father earned a No. 3 ranking in tennis for Albania... Majoring in civil engineering.
