2020-21 (RSR): Second Team All-BIG EAST honoree … Selected to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team … Started all 14 games for ODU and served as an on-field captain and primary stick stop on penalty corners … Tied for fifth nationally and fourth in the BIG EAST with 10 assists … Handed out three assists in a 3-0 win over Providence on April 16, matching the single-game high in Division I … Also notched two-assist games against Temple on Feb. 20 and Villanova on Feb. 27 … Anchored a Monarch defense that authored four shutouts on the season and kept a scoreless streak of 176:20.
2019 (RJR): Second Team All-BIG EAST selection … BIG EAST All-Tournament Team selection … Led the team and was tied for fourth in the conference with nine assists … Earned six assists against BIG EAST opponents … Helped lead the Monarchs to five shutout victories … Earned a defensive save in the BIG EAST Championship match against No. 3 Connecticut … Had two multi-assists efforts, one against William & Mary and the other against conference-foe Temple … One of two Monarchs with a defensive save on the season.
2018 (RSO): Returned from injury and posted a strong campaign on the back line ... Started all 17 games at back ... Tied for the team lead in assists with seven ... Scored her first career goal against Temple, while also notching four assists in that contest ... Helped ODU record five shutouts, including a 3-0 blanking of No. 17 James Madison.
2017 (RFR): Redshirt season due to knee injury.
2016 (FR): Started all 17 games as a freshman... Accounted for four points, making four assists on the year... Made a crucial assist against top-five ranked UConn (9/16) to tie the game late in regulation.
PRIOR TO ODU: McClendon comes to ODU from Virginia Beach where she was a part of the First Colonial High School field hockey program ... During her time, she earned two First Team All-Conference, All-State, All-Region and All-Tidewater honors ... She was also named to the NFHCA All-South Region as a senior ... She helped lead her team to a State Championship in 2012 and 2015 and a runner-up finish in 2013 and 2014 ... McClendon was a three-sport athlete in high school, also earning Second Team All-Conference honors in both basketball and soccer as a senior ... She was also a part of the program that won two silver medals at the National Club Championship, and was a part of the development team that won the National Futures Championship two times.
