Megan Byas Season 2014

2016: Starting all 17 games as a senior defender, Byas tied for second on the team in scoring with 10 points off four goals and two assists... Earned first team VaSID All-State honors and was named first team All-BIG EAST... Named to the NFHCA All-South Region Second Team... Was selected and played in the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Senior Game... Scored two goals to help the Lady Monarchs defeat top-20 ranked Liberty, 2-1 OT... Named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad for the fourth straight year. 

2015: Has been a key player on the back line for ODU, helping the team rank second in the league in goals-against average (1.86) ... Started in all 19 contests ... A threat on penalty corners, scoring all 15 of her points (4g, 7a) on set plays ... Dished out three assists against UConn in the BIG EAST semifinals (11/6) ... Capped the season by earning All-BIG EAST Second Team honors ... Also named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and the NFHCA National Academic Squad.

2014: Started in all 19 games as part of the defensive unit that allowed just 29 goals (1.51 goals-against average) ... Registered nine points on three goals and three assists ... Named All-Big East Second Team, NFHCA All-South Region Second Team and Big East Player of the Week (9/10) ... Recorded the team's only defensive save against Penn State (8/29) ... Scored the game-winning goal against No. 6 Virginia (10/19) ... Scored two goals against Wake Forest (9/5) ... Named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.

2013: Started all seven games she played before having to sit the rest of the season due to injury ... Recorded a season-high four shots against American, had three shots against Penn State and three shots against Duke ... Named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.

Prior to Old Dominion: Played in U18 outdoor field hockey championships four times which includes one runners-up finish ... Twice won the U18 indoor hockey championships ... First team hockey captain for Repton School squad.
