NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion field hockey team will host a Middle School Clinic on Sunday, April 13th from 3 - 6 p.m. The clinic will feature preperation with the middle school player player in mind, with instruction in the skills and fundamentals of field hockey. The clinic is aimed at 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, who will meet and work with other middle school players from the area.

Location: Foreman Field, which serves as the home ofthe Old Dominion Monarch Field Hockey Team, located on 49th Street.

Director: Beth Anders, Head Coach at Old Dominion Universityand the winningest field hockey coach in NCAA History,has coached Old Dominion to nine NCAA Championships,incluiding two back-to-back undefeated seasons. She isthe first Division I NCAA coach to reach the 400 winplateau. Her stellar career also includes: Olympic scoringrecord holder, Olympic bronze medalist, Olympic captain,former head coach of USA Women's National Team, andauthor of numerous fi eld hockey instructional books. In2003, Beth was named U.S. Olympic Head Coach.

Registration: Registration will begin at 2pm and end at 2:45pm. Theclinic will run from 3-6pm. $25 per individual or teamrate of $20 per individual. To qualify for team rate, teamsmust consist of at least nine individuals.

Age Requirement: Girls must be atleast 11 years of age and no older than 14 years of age as of April 1st, 2008.

What to Bring: Turfshoes, mouthguard, shinguards, and a hockey stick. Goalkeepers must bring all protective gear including:Helmet with a throat protector, chest protector, gloves,kickers, leg guards and goalkeeper pants. Old DominionDOES NOT provide any field hockey equipment.
