ABOUT THE LADY MONARCHS: The No. 16/13 Lady Monarchs are winners in 19 of their last 20 contests and are ready to return to the win column following a 76-63 set back to James Madison last Sunday in Harrisonburg. The loss snapped a 19-game win streak and 27-game CAA win strak. Senior T.J. Jordan continues to lead the squad at 13.5 points per game and is followed by sophomore Jessica Canady and junior Tiffany Green at 10.8 points per game. Senior Megan Pym, who is currently listed as day-to-day, and Green leds the Lady Monarchs on the glass at 7.5 rebounds per game.
ABOUT HOFSTRA: Its taken until the last game of the season, but the Pride and the Lady Monarchs will finally meet in each team's respective season finales. The Pride is 5-23 overall and 3-14 in the CAA, last in the conference standings. On Sunday, Hofstra had a eight game losing streak snapped with a 58-43 victory over UNC-Wilmington in their final hoem game of the year. The Pride is led by Sam Brigham at 10.1 points per game. Hampton Roads native, Britne Rodgers, who played scholastically at Virginia Beach's Princess Anne High School, is Hofstra's second leading scorer at 9.5 points per game. In conference action, Rodgers has been averaging 12.1 points per game. Additionally, the rookie leads Hofstra on the boards at 6.6 rebounds per game. Rodgers isn't the only Hampton Roads native on the squad. Ashley Wilcots, who played at Virginia Beach's Landstown High School, is also in her first season with the Pride averaging 2.1 points per game.

SERIES WITH HOFSTRA:Old Dominion holds a 15-1 overall mark against the Pride including three wins over Hofstra a season ago. In the last meeting, the Lady Monarchs downed the Pride, 76-59, at the Bob Carpenter Center to advance to the 2007 CAA Tournament final.
LAST TIME VS. HOFSTRA: The Old Dominion women's basketball team defeated fourth-seeded Hofstra in the semifinals of the CAA Tournament, 76-59, back on March 10th, 2007 at the Bob Carpenter Center.The Lady Monarchs were led by T.J. Jordan and former Lady Monarch Sherida Triggs with 11 points each. Hofstra saw former Pride member Cigi McCollin net a game-high 19 points in the loss, while Lizanne Murphy added in 11.Old Dominion opened the game outscoring Hofstra 12-4, but following a timeout, the Pride erased its deficit with three straight three's. McCollin hit two and Murphy hit another to give the Pride a 13-12 edge with 14:14 left in the first half. A 12-1 run followed for the Lady Monarchs as they would never relinquish the lead. Ahead by nine, 30-21, with 4:33 on the clock, Old Dominion would close out the half outscoring Hofstra, 13-5, and take a 43-26 lead into the half. The Lady Monarchs led by double digits the entire second half and Hofstra was not able to get any closer than 12 points. Another McCollin three closed the gap to 51-39 at the 13:45 mark but that would be as close as it would get.
SO, WHO DO WE PLAY: While Old Dominion has clinched the top seed at the upcoming CAA Women's Basketball Tournament, the rest of the field has yet to be determinded.
Old Dominion has clinched the #1 seed.
James Madison is the #2 seed with a win at UNC Wilmington on Thursday.

CAA HOME COURT STREAK: The Lady Monarchs have won 34 straight home CAA contests dating back to the January 14, 2005, 78-59, victory over Virginia Commonwealth. ODU's last conference loss at the Ted Constant Convocation Center was against Delaware, 70-73, on January 9, 2005. Old Dominion holds a 153-2 home CAA mark.
