The Monarchs (6-2) hit the road to Blacksburg to take on Virginia Tech (4-3) Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The Hokies have four players averaging in double figures led by Zabian Dowdell at 15.3 points per game. Virginia Tech defeated Iowa in the ACC-Big Ten challenge, 69-65.
The Hokies lead the series, 12-7, but the Monarchs have won the last three, including last year's 58-55 decision in the Constant Center.
