RALEIGH, NC - The Old Dominion wrestling team dropped a close dual Wednesday night to the N.C. State Wolfpack, 27-22, in Raleigh, NC. Jesse Pearce (Norfolk, VA) pinned Eric Heath (1:41) to take the 157 class, while John Adams (Chesapeake, VA) pinned Javon Powell (4:32) to take the 165 weight class. Adam Wright (Dayton, VA) won by injury default over Daniel Humfries and Derrell Lorthridge (Wilmington, DE) defeated Jainor Palma by a 7-4 decision to take the Heavyweight class.

The Monarchs return home to take on the VMI Keydets Friday night at 7:00 PM before taking on the Campbell Camels in Colonial Athletic Association action Saturday at 2:00 PM.
