NORFOLK, VA -The Old Dominion Wrestling team remains ranked 7th in the Colonial Athletic Association with 13 points in the second regular season poll of the year. The Monarchs also have five wrestlers individually ranked in the CAA. John Starkes (Chesapeake, VA) is ranked 6th in the 125 weight class, while Chris Buckner (Chesapeake, VA) is 5th in the 133 class after going 2-2 in the Rubbermaid Open at Chapel Hill, NC, improving his season mark to 3-3; Jesse Pearce (Norfolk, VA) is now ranked 6th at 157 after placing second in the Carolina Open. losing only to Ohio's Jake Percival, a two-time All-American and #3 ranked wrestler by Intermat. Adam Wright (Dayton, VA) improves to third in the 184 class, after a 3rd place finish at the Rubbermaid Open, and Derrell Lorthridge (Wilmington, DE) remains in 2nd in the Heavyweight class after placing 6th at the Rubbermaid Open to improve his season record to 8-2.
