NORFOLK, VA-The unbeaten, untied and unscored upon Old Dominion University (8-0) Monarchs moved up to #2 in the SOCCER AMERICA magazine Top 25. ODU is #3 in the College Soccer News Poll, and remains #4 in the NSCAA Adidas Coaches Poll and SOCCER TIMES Top 25.

ODU begins play in the Colonial Athletic Association Friday with UNC-Wilmington (8-2) at 7 p.m., then hosts Virginia Commonwealth ( 7-3) Sunday at 1 p.m.The Rams ranked 11th nationally in the pre-season. Three of the last four matches withVCU have all went to overtime.

The NCAA record for consecutive shutouts is 11, set by Furman last year. UW GreenBAy(1992), Virginia (1987), SMU (1980), with ten, Penn State(1987), and George Mason(1980) with nine.
