NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced on Thursday that Old Dominion’s Puneet Bajwa has earned Golfer of the Week honors.
This marks the third career weekly honor for the fourth year from Mohali, India after she earned the distinction her first year on Oct. 12, 2023 and then again last year on Sept. 26, 2025. It’s also the second weekly honor in as many weeks for the Monarchs after Lucia Gonzalez was voted Golfer of the Week last Thursday, Sept. 24.
Bajwa helped lead ODU to a fifth-place finish at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston earlier this week in Asheboro, North Carolina. On Monday, she handed in a pair of one-over par 73s for her first two rounds. She followed that up with an even round of 72 for her final trip around the course at Tot Hill Farm Golf Club on Tuesday.
It was also her third Top-15 performance in as many events this fall. Bajwa tied for 10th with a two-over par 215 at the Golfweek Fall Challenge on Sept. 6-8 in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. She then tied for 11th with a 54-hole total of three-under 213 at Furman’s Lady Paladin Invitational on Sept. 18-20 in Greenville, South Carolina.
Bajwa and the Monarchs will round out their fall by hosting the sixth annual Evie Odom Invitational next weekend, Oct. 9-11, at Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
