NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion women's golf will be in Asheboro, North Carolina this week to play in the Tot Hill Farm Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston on Monday and Tuesday.
The course at Tot Hill Farm Golf Club has a par of 72 and is 6,023 total yards. The Invitational will have 36 holes of continuous play on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday with a split-tee start between 7:42-9:58 a.m. Live stats will be available on Scoreboard by Clippd.
ODU will be one of 12 teams in the field. Along with the Monarchs and host Cougars will be Campbell, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Elon, Radford, Tennessee Tech, UNC Asheville, UNC Wilmington, Western Carolina, and Wofford. South Carolina will also have four individuals competing.
The lineup for the Monarchs will include Puneet Bajwa, Barbara Car, Lucia Gonzalez, Darby Hancock, and Ellie Johnson. ODU most recently competed in Furman’s Lady Paladin Invitational on Sept. 18-20, where they finished fifth as a team. Gonzalez was named Sun Belt Golfer of the Week this past Thursday after tying for eighth place with a five-under par 211.
ODU secured a runner-up finish at last year’s tournament with a combined 14-over par 590, which was five strokes back of Charleston. Alina Shchepteva and Bajwa both tied for third at two-over 146 while Car tied for sixth with a three-over 147. Originally scheduled for 54 holes, the Invitational was shortened to 36 holes due to inclement weather from Tropical Storm Imelda.
