NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion field hockey placed 19 student-athletes on the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, the conference announced Tuesday.
Nominations for the All-Academic Team are submitted by each of the BIG EAST’s 11 member institutions and six affiliate members. To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must compete in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, achieve a minimum 3.00 grade-point average during the previous academic year, and complete at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, totaling 18 semester credits or 27 quarter credits, excluding remedial courses.
A total of 3,085 student-athletes were recognized for the 2025-26 academic year. Villanova led all institutions with 392 honorees, followed by Georgetown with 380 and Providence with 286. UConn ranked fourth with 278 honorees, while student-athletes from affiliate institutions accounted for 168 of the selections.
