NORFOLK, Va. – The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) announced its 2025-26 Academic All-State honorees on Tuesday and six Old Dominion University student-athletes have earned the distinction.
The six Monarchs recognized include Brynn Bowen from women’s lacrosse, Barbara Car from women’s golf, football’s Zion Frink, volleyball’s Kate Kilpatrick, men’s swimmer Bryce Mortimer, and Piet Steveker from men’s tennis.
The group is among 215 student-athletes representing 36 schools across the state from NCAA Divisions I, II, and III as well as members from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the United States Collegiate Athletics Association (USCAA). To be eligible, honorees must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and must have been a sophomore or higher during the 2025-26 academic year.
