NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Swimming had eight student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the CSC announced on Tuesday.

Brice Bounds, Bryant Julien, Bryce Mortimer and Zachary Redding earned the honor for the men’s team, while Lauren Masters, Linnea Kallebo, Elissa Profaca and Jadyn Whitt received the honor for the women’s squad.

To be considered, an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Each school was allowed to nominate four men and four women.

A senior, Bounds has a 3.71 GPA in computer science. Julian is a sophomore with a 3.88 GPA in biomedicine, while Mortimer is currently in the sport management master’s program with a 4.0. Redding, a junior, has a 3.98 GPA in nursing.

A junior, Masters has a 4.0 GPA, majoring in occupational therapy. A double major, Whitt, a sophomore, has a 4.0 GPA in speech pathology and psychology. A sophomore, Kallebo has a 3.94 GPA while majoring in elementary education and Profaca has a 3.79 GPA in criminal justice as a sophomore.
