NORFOLK, Va. – #59 Old Dominion women’s tennis clinched the No. 1 seed for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, the conference announced on Tuesday.
This is the eighth-straight season that the Monarchs have claimed the first seed, while the team will look to earn its fourth-straight Sun Belt Conference Championship and sixth-straight overall.
ODU faces the winner of James Madison versus Coastal Carolina on April 23 at 10 a.m. in Rome, Georgia.
Kira Matushkina is No. 102 in the country in singles, with a 6-7 record this spring, with Lidiia Rasskouskaia and Ulyana Romanova leading the Monarchs in doubles play with a 10-5 record.
