NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion open sailing heads to Cambridge, Massachusetts where MIT will host the Marchiando Team Race from March 28-29. ODU women’s sailing will travel to Nassau County, New York where the Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy will host the MAISA Women’s Fleet Race Conference Championships from March 28-29.
ODU will field three boats at the Marchiando Team Race, senior skipper Diogo Silva will be paired up with senior skipper Lindsey Kaufmann, sophomore skipper Pierce Brindley and freshman crew Maddy Bivins will man boat two, and junior skipper Blake Goodwin and senior crew Cadence Goodnight will be in boat three. Junior skipper Gianna Dewey will serve as the alternate. The report time for the teams will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
At the MAISA women’s team race ODU’s sophomore skipper Marina Conde and junior crew Molly Hanson will field boat one in the A division while freshman skipper Arabella Duer and junior crew Morgan Auth will man boat two in the B division. The alternates for this weekend’s contest will include Olivia Gilmore and Esther Ireland.
