NEW ORLEANS - Old Dominion women’s basketball’s En’Dya Buford was named to the All-Sun Belt Third Team, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.

Buford is the Monarchs’ second leading scorer at 11.9 points per game and has started all 31 games for ODU this season. She ranks fourth in the conference in steals per game (2.23) and has the fourth most steals (67). At the free throw line the native of Memphis, Tenn. makes 82.3% this season. She tallied a career high eight steals against Coastal Carolina on 2/11 which is tied for the second most steals in a single game. She has five 20+ point performances with three out of five coming against Sun Belt opponents, the five 20+ games ranked tied for 13th in the conference. 

In conference games, Buford ranks tied for 19th in assists per game (2.47). She ranks fifth in the conference with a free throw percentage of 83.1% and is tied fifth in steals per game (2.06). Her eight steals against CCU on 2/11 is the most recorded in conference matchups. She recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds against GS on 1/1. Buford was named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Second Team and was awarded Sun Belt Player of the Week on January 20. She fueled the Monarchs to an unbeaten week of Sun Belt action. The graduate student and native of Memphis, Tennessee. scored a team high in both wins, 18 points against App State (65-54) and 21 against Marshall (84-82).

Old Dominion is the sixth seed in the 2025-26 Sun Belt Conference Championships and will take on the winner of Southern Miss versus the winner of game four. ODU’s first game will be played on Friday, March 6 at 3 p.m. at the Pensacola Bay Center.
