OCALA, Fla. – The Old Dominion Men’s 200 medley relay team of Bryce Mortimer, Dawson Truong, Jordan Smolsky and Zachary Redding swam a school record time of 1:26.76 to finish in fifth to lead Old Dominion Swimming at the 2026 CSCAA National Invitational Championships.
Redding led the Monarchs individually by finishing in second in the 100 free with a time of 43.15. Redding finished in ninth in the 50 butterfly with a time of 21.55. He added a 16th place finish in the 50 free with a time of 20.37.
Grey Bremer earned a fifth-place finish in the 500 free with a time of 4:25.60. Nick Martin earned a time of 4:39.91 to place 26th. Bremer then took 12th in the 1000 free with a time of 9:33.30. Bremer earned a third top 15 finish by placing 15th in the 200 free with a time of 1:39.77. Bremer added a 20th place finish in his final individual event, the 1650 free, with a time of 16:36.61.
Mortimer finished in sixth place in the 100 IM with a time of 49.27.
Addison Elliott earned an eighth-place spot in the 100 backstroke with a time of 54.10. Elliott finished in 19th in the 50 backstroke with a time of 25.28.
The Monarchs finished 10th in the 200 freestyle relay as the team of Robby Young, Jordan Smolsky, Bryce Mortimer and Zach Redding earned a time of 1:20.68.
Mortimer finished in 36th in the men’s 50 backstroke with a time of 23.26. Jordan Davis followed in 44th with a time of 23.80.
Dawson Truong finished in 37th with a time of 22.55, Davis finished in 38th in a time of 22.58 and Smolsky came in 39thin a time of 22.60. Davis added a 44th place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 50.71. He earned a 49th place position in the 100 backstroke with a time of 49.18.
In the 50 breaststroke, Truong came in 25th with a time of 25.51. Mortimer finished in 33rd in a time of 25.85. Toni Sallaku finished in 40th with a time of 26.29.
The men’s 400 medley relay team of Mortimer, Sallaku, Truong and Redding finished in 15th with a time of 3:17.33.
The men’s 800 freestyle relay team of Young, Bremer, Martin and Smolsky finished in 15th with a time of 6:40.93.
Young, Smolsky, Davis and Redding placed 10th in the 400 free relay with a time of 2:57.64.
In the 200 breaststroke, Sallaku finished in 42nd with a time of 2:06.72.
For the event, the men’s squad finished in 16th out of 30 teams, while the women placed 47th out of 52 teams. Elliott was the only women’s swimmer to compete.
