NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion women’s tennis travels out west to take on Kansas State and Kansas this weekend.

The Monarchs take on the Wildcats at 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, before traveling to Lawrence, Kan., to challenge the Jayhawks on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 12 p.m.

ODU enters the weekend after falling to Ole Miss 5-2 on Feb. 14. The Monarchs sit at 1-3 with numerous players ranked in the ITA, including Kira Matushkina, who is No. 65 in singles and No. 75 in doubles alongside Victoria Matasova, who holds No. 81 in singles. Doubles pair Lidiia Rasskouskaia and Ulyana Romanova are No. 45 in doubles.

Kansas State is 1-3 and is on a two-game losing streak following losses to Arkansas and Wichita State. Sisters Martaa Chogsomjav and Maralgoo Chogsomjav are No. 33 in doubles for the Wildcats.

Kansas will look to snap its four-game losing streak after dropping both matches last weekend to Wisconsin and Arkansas, bringing the Jayhawk’s record to 3-4. Kyoka Kubo is No. 25 in singles as well as No. 58 in doubles alongside Heike Janse van Vurren. Janse van Vurren is also ranked No. 73 in doubles with Meg McCarty.
