NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion women’s tennis hosts Power 4 opponents Ole Miss and Florida State this weekend at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
The Monarchs’ match against the Rebels begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 while their match against the Seminoles starts at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15. Live stats and streaming will be available for both matches.
Old Dominion is coming off a 5-2 victory over Wake Forest last weekend after falling 4-3 to both Maryland and Penn State the weekend prior.
Ole Miss is 3-1 after besting Southeast Missouri in consecutive matches last weekend. Emily Welker holds national ranking for the Rebels, as she is No. 8 in the country in singles and No. 66 in doubles alongside teammate Andrea Nova.
Florida State will look to snap its five-game losing streak after beginning the season 2-5. However, the Seminoles have two nationally ranked singles players, with Ameila Bissett sitting at No. 82 and Eva Shaw at No. 102.
Monarchs Lidiia Rasskouskaia and Ulyana Romanova enter the weekend being awarded Sun Belt Doubles Team of the Week, marking the second time that ODU has claimed SBC doubles honors this spring.
