Colorado Springs, CO - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association has released its 2025 Division I National Academic Squad with 16 student-athletes from Old Dominion Field Hockey making the list. Student-athletes must earn a 3.5 GPA throughout the fall academic semester and current academic year.
The following field hockey members were named to the team: Alex Bandura, Katie Bates, Sian Emslie, Serena Langendoen, Mackenzie Olsommer, Ainsley Papierniak, Cosima Perleth, Suus Broers, Autumn Busby, Sydney Holbrook, Josi John, Josie Painter, Nicolette Saccomandi, Madison Zalewski, Laila Zdancewicz, and Amelie Zielcke.
“I’m proud that our student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom. Our players are studying a variety of challenging courses, and their commitment to maintain high standards in their academics as well as on the field is commendable,” head coach Andrew Griffiths said. “There are no short cuts to these grades, and this hard work in all areas has set them on track for sustained success."
