NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion men’s soccer hosts its Senior Night on the final game of the 2025 regular season. The Monarchs welcome #18 Kentucky to the ODU Soccer Complex for a game on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.

The game will be streamed to ESPN+ and live stats will be available for any fans who wish to follow along with the action.

LAST TIME OUT:

UK’s Logan Dorsey scored the only goal in a 1-0 Wildcat win in the 65th minute. Old Dominion fired off 10 shots but only had one shot on target in the defeat. Kentucky shot 14 shots and six went on target. ODU had a corner kick with two minutes remaining to try and equalize but the Wildcat’s defended the incoming cross and sent the ball out of danger.

ABOUT ODU:

The final match of the regular season will welcome Sun Belt Conference foe #18 Kentucky to Norfolk on Tuesday night. The Monarchs enter the matchup looking to finish the regular season strong after a hard-fought 1–1 draw on the road against James Madison last Friday.

ODU showed resilience in Harrisonburg, Va. responding to a goal scored by the Dukes with just nine seconds remaining in the first half. In the second half, the Monarchs created more chances than JMU and got rewarded in the 86th minute by a goal by junior forward Lewis Rourke. It was Rourke’s team leading seventh goal of the season.

A major reason ODU has remained competitive down the stretch has been the standout play of Michael Statham. In between the posts, Statham has been a rock. The senior goalkeeper has started 15 games this season and has 56 saves and kept four shutouts.

ABOUT UK:

Kentucky are coming off a 1-0 home victory against Georgia State and are 10-2-3 in all games played. The #18 Wildcats will arrive in Norfolk with two losses on the season and both of those were against ranked opponents (#17 Marshall, #14 Indiana). Since the loss to Indiana, the Wildcats have strung together four-straight wins.

Graduate student Alex Ruiz leads Kentucky in both goals (7) and assists (4) this season for a total of 18 points. Ruiz ranks third in the Sun Belt in goals, fourth in total points, and fourth in goals per game average. Junior forward Isiah Chisolm has also chipped in with 5 goals (11 points) for the Wildcats.

Senior goalkeeper Sebastian Conlon has been exceptional for UK throughout the season. The 6-2 Virginia native has started and played in all of Kentucky’s 15 matches, logging 40 saves, 14 goals allowed, and a save percentage of .741%. He ranks third in the conference in shutouts, tied-for-fifth in saves, 2nd in save percentage, and second in goals against average in conference play this year.

UP NEXT:

The Monarchs can clinch a bid to the Sun Belt Tournament with a win but can also earn a bid with help around the league. The bracket will be announced by the Sun Belt tomorrow night after the conclusion of play.
