NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Athletics Military Appreciation Week presented by USAA begins on Monday with the Ricky Rahne Coach’s show and finishes with the Thursday night game on ESPN against Troy, with many special events in between.
The week begins with the Ricky Rahne Coach’s Show on Monday at Grain at Hilton Norfolk the Main at 6 p.m. The show will offer special Military themed conversations with some special guests.
ODU begins game action for USAA Military Week on Tuesday, Nov. 11 when the men’s basketball hosts Norfolk State in men’s basketball at 7 p.m.
The week continues Wednesday, Nov. 11 when the women’s basketball team hosts Delaware at 6:30 p.m.
The week of home games concludes on Thursday, Nov. 13 when the football team hosts Troy on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. Prior to the game ODU will host SportsCenter live from Kaufman Mall from 2-3 p.m. Hosted by Matt Barrie, the show will feature a live interview with Head Football Coach Ricky Rahne and special appearances by the ODU Marching Band and spirit squads. At 5:15 p.m. the Monarch March will begin and feature a flyover pending the government shutdown. Prior to kickoff there will be a ball drop featuring the Patriot Parachute Team.
