NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion Football travels to Marshall on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 3:30 p.m.
The game will be on ESPN+ and the radio broadcast on the ODU Sports Network.
• ODU is coming off a 47-7 thrashing over Coastal Carolina last week. The Monarchs held Coastal to 189 yards of total offense, the fewest yards allowed to an FBS team in program history.
• Marshall is the second straight ODU opponent coming off a bye. The Thundering Herd fell to Louisiana 54-51 in double overtime two weeks ago.
• Colton Joseph completed 17-of-30 passes for 315 yards and a career high tying four touchdowns in ODU’s win over Coastal Carolina. He also rushed for 66 yards on seven carries, including a 50-yard touchdown run that made the score 41-0 early in the third quarter.
• Na’eem Abdul-Rahim Gladding caught seven passes for 101 yards and three touchdowns, setting career highs and tying the school record for touchdowns.
• Jerome Carter notched a career high 12 tackles in the win.
• True freshmen Jackson Forrest and Hunter Malecki each delivered their first career solo sacks in the win. Forrest forced and recovered a fumble on his sack.
• Safety Mario Easterly recorded his first career interception.
• ODU had 619 total yards, with Coastal’s 189 yards of offense, the 430-yard difference was the largest difference between total yards in ODU history and the fourth largest margin between two Sun Belt teams in league history.
• For the first time in FBS program history, ODU received votes in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
Balanced Attack
ODU rolled to a season high 619 yards in the win over Coastal Carolina last week. It was the second most yards of total offense last week, only second to the 631 produced by South Florida over Charlotte.
ODU had 302 yards rushing and 317 passing. The Monarchs are the fourth team this season to have 300+ yards rushing and passing against an FBS team.
