NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion Football returns home to S.B. Ballard Stadium for the annual Homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 25 to host App State at noon.

The game will be on ESPNU and the radio broadcast on the ODU Sports Network.

• ODU is coming off a 63-27 loss at James Madison while the Mountaineers lost at home to Coastal Carolina, 45-37.

• Wide receiver Tre Brown caught four passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns at JMU. His 98-yard touchdown grab was the longest offensive play in ODU history and tied for the longest offensive play this season. Brown’s 138 yards and two touchdowns were career highs.

• Safety Jerome Carter totaled a career high tying 12 tackles and a tackle for loss.

• Linebacker Seth Naotala notched six tackles and half a sack.

• Linebacker Jeremy Mack had nine tackles, two tackles for loss and half a sack.

Built on Big Plays
ODU has delivered big plays all season, but none longer than the 98-yard touchdown pass from Colton Joseph to Tre Brown in the first quarter against James Madison. It was the longest offensive play in school history and is tied for the longest play in FBS this season.

Braylon Braxton and Micah Davis of Southern Miss also had a 98-yard touchdown on Saturday against Louisiana.

Crazy Start
ODU’s opening kickoff by Josh Hamel was dropped in the end zone by the JMU returners and then carried out of the end zone. JMU returner Braeden Wisloski was then tackled at the five by Brandon Crutchfield, who forced a fumble that Lucas Struck recovered at the two and tumbled into the end zone. The touchdown just six seonds into the game was the fastest touchdown scored in ODU history.

Brown’s Big Day
Tre' Brown became the third ODU receiver to have a 100-yard day, as he caught four passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns at JMU. His 98-yard touchdown grab set a school record.

Brown ranks second in the country in yards per reception at 23.23.

Big Plays Monarchs
In 2024, ODU had five touchdowns of 65 yards or more. They already have six in 2025.

ODU is fourth in the country with six plays of 60+ yards. All six plays have gone for touchdowns.

Colton Joseph scored on runs of 75 and 78 yards for the Monarchs at Indiana.

Trequan Jones opened the third quarter against NCCU with a 93-yard touchdown run.

Joseph hit Ke'travion Hargrove for an 80-yard touchdown against Coastal Carolina.

Joseph hit Brown for a 71-yard TD at Marshall.

Joseph hit Brown for a school record 98-yard touchdown at JMU. It is tied for the longest play in FBS this season.

The Yeti Returns
The limited edition ODU Yeti tumblers return for Homecoming with the ODU racetrack logo on the cup. The cup will only be sold inside S.B. Ballard stadium on gameday. The cup wil be sold for $50.

The Return of Sal
Former ODU offensive lineman and Current New Orlean Saint Nick Saldiveri will be signing autographs on Saturday at 10 a.m. on Kaufman Mall. Saldiveri was selected in the fourth round, No. 103 overall, of the 2023 NFL Draft.
